These are good methods because you aren’t chopping down whole forests and you are allwoing some trees better growth by doing this, also the dead and decaying trees are taken out, its not like they would live much longer anyways. This could be bad though too because the decaying trees provide nutirenst and fertliizer and also with every tree one cuts down an animal is loosing its habitat.
